A Legacy of Love: The Women Behind Something Blue
When a bride walks through the doors of Something Blue Bridal Boutique in Angleton, Texas, she steps into more than just a beautifully curated bridal salon — she steps into a story. A story of passion, family, and the bond between mothers and daughters. A story that started with a dream in the 1970s and continues today with each bride we welcome.
Something Blue is proudly family-owned and female-run, a multi-generational business rooted in heart and heritage. It all began with Sandie — the original founder, and mom to our current owner, Rebekah Krsak.
Sandie first fell in love with the bridal industry while working at a small, family-owned boutique during college at the University of Tennessee. Though life led her into a successful career as a high school teacher, the dream of owning her own bridal salon never faded. After years of styling and managing at high-end bridal boutiques, Sandie knew it was time to follow her heart. In January of 2012, Something Blue was born.
Her years of experience, patience, and passion laid the foundation for everything Something Blue has become — a warm, welcoming boutique where every bride feels celebrated, supported, and seen. Sandie poured her heart into building the boutique from the ground up, and as she began to step into retirement, her daughter Rebekah stepped forward, ready to carry the torch.
Rebekah brought with her a fresh creative vision and a deep love for the boutique she watched her mom build. With a degree in Art History from Baylor University, Rebekah used her impeccable eye for design and architecture to breathe new life into the space — infusing it with charm, elegance, and a refined attention to detail. Every corner of Something Blue reflects her artistry and heart.
Together, these two remarkable women created more than a boutique — they created a legacy. Today, Sandie enjoys the well-earned joys of retirement: cruises with her husband Brian and time spent spoiling her grandchildren, Finley and Hudson. Meanwhile, Rebekah continues to pour love into the boutique, honoring the foundation her mother laid while guiding Something Blue into its next chapter.
As a family-owned business, every bride that walks through our doors becomes a part of our extended family. We don’t just sell dresses — we share in your joy, your story, and your special moments. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
From Sandie’s first fitting room to Rebekah’s hand-curated gown collections, Something Blue is — and always will be — built by women, for women, in celebration of love.
