Something Blue strives to carry a wide range of designers to ensure that any and every bride who walks through our doors can find the dress of her wedding day dreams, no matter her personal style. To that end, we’re adding another new designer to our ranks, the elegant and sophisticated Sophia Tolli from Mon Cheri. [gallery type="rectangular" link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="636,637"] Dresses started arriving in-store in mid-January and for brides who want to preview even more Sophia Tolli styles, we’re hosting a three-day trunk show February 23-25. (Appointments are required and will fill up fast, so call or text 979-308-1044!) The Australian designer offers classic and couture designs with an impeccable fit, including strapless ball gowns, A-line dresses, halters and slim skirts featuring corset backs and signature draping. Tolli strives to evoke a sense of “soft romanticism and traditional bridal drama” with gowns promising an exceptional fit and cut. Something Blue fashion director Rebekah Krsak said she and salon owner Sandie Walther realized picking up the designer’s new collection was a no-brainer when the phone started ringing…repeatedly. [gallery type="rectangular" link="file" columns="2" size="large" ids="638,639"] “We had several phone calls about Sophia Tolli gowns over a period of just a few weeks so we knew there was definitely a local demand,” Krsak said. “These dresses bring a different style that we don’t currently have with our other designers. Sophia Tolli does a lot of heaving beading on top of lace, as well as several A-line and dropped-waist styles which can be hard to find. “These dresses have a lot of great boning inside, unique sleeves or straps, a good amount of color options and some great styles for larger sizes so it was a no-brainer for us really. Another big positive is that they keep of lot of dresses in stock so it helps brides who need a dress quickly. We placed an order 10 days ago and already received some of the dresses, so that’s fast!” Krsak said that when it comes to gowns, options are a plus, and Sophia Tolli doesn’t disappoint. “Several of these dresses have gorgeous backs, but some are pretty low cut,” she said. “A great feature is that more modest brides can order many of these dresses with the back raised three inches. The price point is reasonable as well, with most dresses running between $1,500 and $2,500. “I think our brides are going to love these dresses…they are great quality with a fantastic fit and are just really different than anything else we carry. They are traditional and feature a lot of laces, but are more elegant with all of the beading, which gives them a rich feel.” To check out Sophia Tolli’s 2017 collection, visit: https://moncheribridals.com/collections/wedding-dresses/sophia-tolli/ and then make an appointment to try on one or more of these gorgeous dresses at Something Blue!
